To increase consumer interest in the ‘Rousen’ navigation brand, with 3D scheduled to be released in the middle of this month, Citus (CEO Lee Joon-Pyo, http://www.citus.co.kr/) announced that it would hold a ‘Rousen UCC advertising competition’ over three months starting on the 14th.
This competition will be held under the strapline ‘Navigate the World,’ which is also Rousen’s slogan. During this event, videos, photographs, and MP3 files will be produced for advertising, and posted on the event website (http://www.rousenad.co.kr/). The most frequently recommended advertisements will be selected each month, and iPod Touch, Nintendo DS and gift certificates will be given away. On top of that, when the event comes to a close, all the advertisements will be evaluated on the basis of the number of recommendations and internal screening, and an aggregate sum of KRW4.5 million will be shared between 5 of the contestants.
Mr. Kim Joon-Hwan, VP of Citus said, “We anticipate that consumer interest in Rousen will be enhanced, in that everyone will find it easy to take part in the Rousen UCC advertising competition, and create new advertising concepts for Rousen.”
In addition, the Rousen event website (http://www.rousenad.co.kr/) features several events apart from the UCC advertising competition, including the ‘brand taxi event,’ in which people can photograph the Rousen sticker inside a taxi that is using Rousen, a tourism destination recommendation event and mini quizzes. You can participate in a number of events at the same time.
